Sobaka Studios has announced the final release date for 9 Monkeys of Shaolin, and we at 3-Bit cannot wait! The 3D side scroller set around a Japanese pirate invasion on mainland China will launch on PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on October 16th, 2020. We at 3-Bit first experienced 9 Monkeys of Shaolin during the ID @Xbox summer demo event, where we instantly fell in love with the game, and its retro vibe that reminded us on the Kungfu games we played growing up on PlayStation 1, only with smoother gameplay and massively improved graphics. From the demo of 9 Monkeys of Shaolin, we experienced some great and challenging gameplay moments where we stabbed swiped and struck our foes with our staff, whilst ensuring none of their attacks hit us by performing perfect parries.
