The Next Generation of PlayStation VR has been announced. The news of this new VR Headset comes today in a PlayStation Blog report which stated, "Today I'm pleased to share that our next-generation VR system will be coming to PlayStation 5, enabling the ultimate entertainment experience with dramatic leaps in performance and interactivity. Players will feel an even greater sense of presence and become even more immersed in their game worlds once they put on the new headset."
The New PSVR headset will be a leap forward for Sony, as they plan to integrate DualSense features with the headset, along with other significant enhancements in resolution, field of view, tracking and much more in order to make the PlayStation 5's VR headset one worthy of the next-gen. The blog post explains that there is still a lot of work to do, as the development of this piece of next-gen hardware is still underway. This, unfortunately, means we probably shouldn't expect to see them hitting the shelves this year. However, on a personal note, I hope we will be able to see some form of late concept or final design for this all-new VR headset later in the year at one of the (hopefully) many online reveal events storming the gaming world later in the year.
