Amnesia is back, and this time the developers at Frictional Games have enhanced their terrifying formula. In Rebirth you play as Tasi Trianon, who wakes up in a desert in Algeria. With no memory you cant remember if you where with anyone else, or even how you got there. All you know if that you must try your best to retrace your journey and recover the shattered parts of you fractured past. Adding further more complexity to this you are being hunted down by horrific creatures, that feed off of your terror and anger. So, you will need to control these emotions as you navigate past the pitiless world of horro, that threatens to devour you.

Another part of Amnesia's formula that has been revamped is it's puzzles process. In the original games, puzzles would usually consist of a fetch quest to open up a new area, whilst avoiding your imminent doom. Although this time, the developers have really worked on creating puzzles that require players to observe and think. Puzzles become less about finding an item, and more about learning more about this strange environment you have found yourself stuck in.

Amnesia: Rebirth has filled its terror ridden world with lore, histories and secrets all waiting for you to uncover. The game will promote you to take your time, to learn as much as you can during you time surviving its trials. Frictional Games has given us our first look at this with the following passage: "You can’t let out a breath. The creature is only inches away. Its sole purpose - to feed off your terror. And so you crouch in the dark, trying to stop the fear rising, trying to silence what lies within you."

Amnesia is a First-person narrative horror experience. The game will have you exploring the world, whilst intricately managing your limited resourced, as well as your mental state, which plays a big part of surviving. Amnesia will not only require skill, but observation and wits to best its rich complex world. Amnesia is a game for those who are costumed to the horror themes, but those who are looking to get into horror games, this will be a good game to test you and your capability to think and act whilst under immense amounts of stress and anxiety.

Amnesia Rebirth will be releasing on GoG, Epic Store, Steam and PS4 on 20th October. Be sure to check out the trailer above, if you haven't done so already.
