We finally got our first look at the PVP in Back 4 Blood, The all-new game from the creators of Left 4 Dead coming to Xbox and PlayStation consoles as well as PC on October 12th. The PVP of Back 4 Blood will bring a more competitive twist to Left 4 Dead Survivors vs Zombies in its Swarm mode, where players will play as both cleaners and Ridden in the survival of the fittest style of gameplay. The objective for the cleaners is to survive as long as possible whilst the Ridden try to take them down in the shortest time possible. The winner is determined by the longest survival time, but both sides will have many opportunities to turn the tides in their favour. For the Cleaners, you will be able to find a variety of equipment and weapon upgrades throughout the map to assist you in your battle against the hordes of ridden, along with their characters unique abilities and bonuses.

Meanwhile, the ridden will be able to choose from 9 different variant types, which they can mutate throughout the game by collecting points. Upgrades can affect all ridden communally, allowing for your team of horrifying creatures to coordinate upgrades for some devastating combinations. You can learn a lot more about the PVP features in the trailer above, where you can check out all the variant Ridden you will be able to devastate the cleaners with. Don't forget you can gain exclusive access to the PVP beta on August 12th, along with the early access from August 5th, by pre-ordering Back 4 Blood for your platform of choice.
