A new rumour is spreading around the internet that features a release period for The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2. The rumour comes from Twitter user @So_Ethereal, who claims an Austrian retailer Gameware has leaked the highly anticipated Nintendo title for a Q2 release window. Q2 could be either the standard year (April-June) or the financial year (July-September). This has given the rumour some credit as six months is a big gap where anything can happen.
Fans have been waiting for news on the sequel to one of the best games available on Nintendo Switch since it was given a 2020 release date in 2019, but Nintendo has been very quiet since then, and no major announcements have been made for the game since then. The original image above from @So_Ethereals tweet has now been replaced with the one below that only says 2021 as the release, rather than Q2. Many eagle-eyed fans have also spotted that the box art is also not the official box art, as what we see in both images is a piece of fan art by Susumu Kuro.
