Yesterday’s PlayStation 5 event seemingly broke the internet with its price and launch reveals, along with incredible announcements from 1st and 3rd party games. One game that we did not expect to see at this event, however, surprised us in a way we did not anticipate. Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War gave us a sneak peek of what to expect from this highly anticipated title on launch. Above you can watch a segment from the first mission of this new spin on the franchise where you are sent to assassinate a target.
The sequence shows incredible graphics in a heavily story-driven mission in Turkey as you build-up to the assassination target. The trailer itself starts relatively slow; however, when you finally reach your target, you are led through a rollercoaster of experiences. Starting with a Sniper/fallout style of kill cam we witness the assassination of our target, which is very quickly followed by fast-paced, high octane action where we take human shields, make brutal knife takedowns and even jump straight into a car chase as a plane tries to leave the Turkish airfield we hit our target from. This incredible trailer ends with us using an RC car bomb to take out the aircraft leaving the airstrip permanently.
Along with this outstanding trailer, we also got great news for PS4 users, and that is that they will be able to try out Call of Black Ops Cold War’s Multiplayer from tomorrow, with the option of pre-loading the 25 Gb alpha today!! The alpha will be free to all PS4 Players, so we here at 3Bit will see you back in the ’80s.
