Mark your calendar and synchronise your watches for 0700 GMT December 16th, because this is when we can expect the first season of Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War to begin. Season 1 will bring about fresh content not just for the Black ops multiplayer but for the Warzone multiplayer too! For Warzone we will be seeing a brand new map, taking us away from Verdansk for the first time since its launch back in March. The new map named Rebirth Island, a hidden soviet base that has been shut down since 1968. Filled with laboratories, barracks, decontamination areas for you and your squad to explore. Rebirth Island will bring with it a whole new Gulag experience to Warzone too, gone are the cold shower rooms, and now competitors are thrown into an interrogation room shortly before being thrown into "Amerika Town" a soviet mock-up of Nuke Town for some intense 1vs 1 combat. We will also be getting an expanded arsenal based on the Black Ops experience.
The Black ops multiplayer will see the biggest addition of content, with four new maps, Sanatorium, Raid, The Pines and Nuke Town '84 Holidays. 2 vs 2 gunfights will return in 4 new maps- U Bahn, ICBM, KGB and Game Show maps. We will also see new vehicles and scorestreaks including a tactical raft and a H.A.R.P. Finally, we will also see two new game modes introduced to the multiplayer, the two modes being Dropkick and the return of the legendary Prop Hunt.
Zombies will also be seeing two new game modes, with cranked, where you will have to make kills within the time limit to stop yourself from exploding, and Jingle Hells, which will bring a festive theme and jolly firepower to really bring them seasons greetings to your new zombie pals. Black Ops Cold War multiplayer modes will also receive a whole new range of weapons, a battle pass with over 100 tiers, new prestige levels and prestige shop. All of this content and more, such as new operators and challenges comes with season 1 which starts this month on December 16th, so be sure to check it out!
