Today we saw a new announcement from Irish Developers Spooky Doorway and their new publishers Akupara Games, for the continuation of the hilarious point and click adventure “The Darkside Detective”. Season 1 of The Darkside Detective launched back in 2017 and sends players on a mysterious pixelated journey, where our protagonists Detective McQueen and Officer Dooley investigate the cases that nobody else will, be it Californian Krakens, A relocation of countries, or even just getting some protection for “Nigel”. The quirky and Mysterious point and click game won 9 Indie Awards including best Narrative from Indie Dome and Best Comedy from the AGGIE awards.
Today Season 2 of Darkside Detective was announced, which will bring 6 new episodes to the saga of Detective McQueen, as he picks up the pieces of Season 1. If you missed out on Season 1 fear not, as season 2 will catch you up on all of the drama you may have missed. Season 2 is slated to be bigger and Slimier, as Detective McQueen continues to investigate the paranormal activities haunting Twin Lakes City. Including a carnival of terrors, a trip that sends the detective to Ireland and most dreaded of all … a retirement home.
