Last night we got an all-new State of Play from PlayStation, which had a heavy focus on Deathloop, by Arkane Studios, but that was not the only game showcased during the event, as we also saw an all-new trailer for Death Stranding Directors cut, which will be coming to PlayStation 5 on September 24th.  Kojima Productions debut title has been remastered for PlayStation 5 in native 4K at 60FPS and will feature new combat mechanics, including more melee options, more battles, and new weapons, including the shocking Maser Gun. Lethal options are not an advisable option in Death Stranding, but we will also be getting mounted machine guns for when times get too intense.

We will also be able to test out these new gadgets along with the original ones in a new firing range. But weapons are not the only gadgets we will get, as we will also be able to become more efficient than amazon prime pre lockdown with new delivery mechanics, including a cargo catapult, a cargo buddy, which is a small mech that will follow you, or allow you to piggyback on, and a jump ramp, a new building that will help you cross ravines and gorges with ease, let's just hope we can stick the landing.

But Death Stranding is now so much more than a "walking simulator" as now it is also a racing game thanks to the addition of the Fragile Circuit, where we can race new vehicles, including a rather fancy looking car.  Finally, Death Stranding Directors Cut will also be getting a tonne of new story elements, which  I am sure will expand on the thrilling and gripping story that captivated fans of the original release. From what we can tell, we will see a lot more about the mysterious Mules that plague the American "wasteland", but we have no details on whether that is the case or not yet.

Death Stranding Directors Cut will be available as an upgrade option for those who own Death Stranding on the PlayStation 4, too, with prices marked currently marked as $ 10. Based on its 10 Euro price tag, we can assume it will also cost £10 here in the UK. You can also pre-order the directors cut as a standalone item with 2 options, a standard edition for £44.99 and a Digital Deluxe Edition for £49,99, which will include a variety of cosmetics avatars and a new digital art book.
