Its finally happened, Blue Point Games has treated us to our first showcase of Demon’s Souls running on the PlayStation 5, and it looks incredible. Anyone who has played Demons Souls before, will have been hit with nostalgia, whilst also getting a bigger sense of scale. Those who are new to Demon’s Souls will have seen how varied and beautiful its inhabitants are. These inhabitants range from scaled beasts, draugrs, dragons, scared knights all the way to the first boss you will encounter, who is an axe wielding, chubby troll, the game looks stunning.

The RTX in this game is used to perfection, with light bouncing around the room illuminating key areas, whilst leaving thick black shadows that hide the imminent threat posed around every corner. The key bit of gameplay that we saw today, was in the starting area of Demon’s Souls, where the player is taught the basic’s, so don’t be fooled by how easy it was for the player to mow down each enemy. Like all the other Souls games, in this game you will die!

What was extra incredible during this showcase was how much of the game Blue Point showed off. We got treated to snipped of some of the treacherous foes that block your path during you journey. This includes the flaming spider, spitting flames at you as you progress towards it and the infamous dragon, which sweeps the entire bridge with a ferocious flame, that engulfs anyone who gets in its path. There’s so much to see that we’ve missed in this article, so be sure to check out the trailer in the video above.
