Dodgeball, for many it is an entertaining movie with Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn. For others, its an extreme sports version of catch. However, for EA and Velan Studios, neither of these extremes were enough for their latest game Knockout City, which takes Dodgeball to the next level in their newly announced fast-paced ball game Knockout City.

Knockout City is a game all about taking the fundamental basics of most sports (throwing and catching) and transforming it into an immersive game of skill, depth and style, which the studios can only describe as "DodgeBrawl."

Knockout City is all about knocking out your opponents without being knocked out yourself, so to quote Patches O'Houlihan from the Dodge ball Movie, you will need to "Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive and Dodge" as you try to take out other players across a variety of urban arenas in 3v3, 4v4 or free for all battles. Knockout City isn't just about the game, though, as it is also all about the crew. Players will be able to link up with up to 32 friends from across all platforms where you can all brawl in style, with customisable crew logos and banners and even your very own customisable crew vehicle, which will take you to the game.

A Beta for Knockout City will take place on PC this weekend from February 20th- 21st, where players on origin and steam can get together and play ball to the extreme. Knockout City will then be able to be enjoyed by everybody on May 21st, which is when the full game will launch on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch. When the game launches, everybody will have an opportunity to try out this unique and fast-paced EA Original during a free trial period. The free trial will allow players to try out all five maps and all six ball types as they jump into the most extreme version of Dodgeball ever to exist.
