Elite Dangerous is probably one of the best spacecraft sim/adventure games out there at the moment, and now it is finally getting the DLC we have all been waiting for, the ability to leave our ship, explore planets, Space Stations and even battle other life forms. Named Elite Dangerous Odyssey, this DLC looks like it could bring some serious competition to Hello Games No Mans Sky, which has seen some spectacular updates too in recent months.

Odyssey will bring "unrestricted Freedom" to Elite dangerous, as you discover what awaits on the planets below, with vast biomes, hidden settlements and outposts. Odyssey will also introduce a tonne of new FPS combat systems to Elite dangerous, with new contracts that will see players engaging in stealth operations and all-out combat on the planet surfaces. What makes this DLC even better is that you can do all of these new activities with your friends, as new social hubs will be introduced to Elite Dangerous, where you and your friends will be able to plan your adventures and upgrade your gear. Elite Dangerous Odyssey releases early 2021 and is available for pre-purchase on Steam for £29.99.
