Today Akupara Games have announced a new partnership with Developer Curious Fate to publish Absolute Tactics: Daughters of Mercy. This Awesome looking turn-based RPG brings a light-hearted and modern spin to the classic genre, with an incredible looking art style. Absolute Tactics features a diverse cast to fight alongside as you battle huge boss monsters in a dark war-torn world. In this awesome looking game, we play as the hero Huxley and his loyal companion and dog, Max, as we build a team to defend their home against an unknown foe.
With Absolute Tactics: Daughters of Mercy, we will control all our team using unique skills and traits that can be used to create masterful strategies to help you decimate your opponents, solve epic puzzles, and complete quests that will reshape the world. What makes this AbsoluteTactics even more intriguing is how Curious Fates plans to bring this awesome genre of games to new players by offering a fair challenge for new blood whilst also offering a hardcore mode for those looking for more of a challenge with some incredible sounding features such as Instadeth and Fortified Units.
Absolute Tactics comes from the mind of Jason Shields, a UI, Mission and Level Designer for Gearbox, whose handy work can be seen across the Borderlands series. Jason started his career as an Indie Dev, sending copies of his games to significant names in the industry, which led to him first being picked up by Gearbox 13 years ago. Thankfully the indie is still strong with Jason as he brings us Absolute Tactics whilst continuing his work at Gearbox. A lot of work has clearly gone into his game, too, as Absolute Tactics has many standout features for an indie game, including:
● 25 narrative story maps plus 11 optional maps, including additional post-game content and horde
● Three levels of difficulty, plus an additional hardcore mode unlocked after completion - challenge
yourself over and over again.
● Shaking up the SRPG experience with diverse gameplay, including large-scale War levels (with
dozens of units on the battlefield simultaneously), environmental verticality, puzzle elements and
● Accessible, class-based gameplay for the casual player combined with deep customization and
mastery for serious tactics fans. 21 individual classes plus the ability to dual-class allows for
almost endless combinations.
● Unlock upgrades, collect loot, complete quests and meet a cast of colourful characters on your
quest for glory.
