Hideo Kojima, the creator of popular games series Metal Gear Solid, Zone of the Enders, Death Stranding and many more, has been in talk with Junji Ito about joining together to discuss, creating a new horror game together. For those unfamiliar with Ito, he is a popular Japanese Horror Mangaka, who has written many popular horror manga’s, including Tomie which is a series based around an immortal who drive admirers into madness.
This news comes from a recent interview with Ito, in which he is quoted saying: “"I do know director Kojima and we have been in conversation that he may have a horror-based game that he may be doing, and so he has invited me to work on that, but there are no details on it yet," (via a translator).
This is huge news for the gaming horror community, as one of the most successful horror experiences of this generation was via a playable teaser called P.T, that Hideo Kojima created with hit director Guillermo del Toro. The game turned out to be a teaser for a ‘now-cancelled’ Silent Hill title, dubbed Silent Hills. The experience rattled through fans due to having an incredible, undecipherable depth to its horror, in which what would happen would be different for each player.
Unfortunately, this is all that is currently known about this title, but as more information comes, we will be sure to update everyone. Be sure to follow our social media pages via the buttons below to get live updates directly to your social media feeds.
