Nintendo have announced a new Hyrule Warriors game, Age of Calamity. Unlike the previous Warriors game, Age of Calamity will be a part of the official Zelda lore. The game is being developed by KOEI TECMO, who is most famous for the Dynasty Warriors game series, in which this title will have very similar gameplay and mechanics.

Age of Calamity will be based 100 years before the events of Breath of the Wild, where we will see Link and Zelda’s struggles that lead up to the events of Breath of the Wild. You will be required to lead the forces of Hyrule and stand against Calamity Ganon and his band of creatures. The game will be playable in full coop, were you can take on Calamity Ganon as a team. You will be able to play as a selection of the companions that can be found during Links journey in Breath of the Wild, in which you will discover more about the members of this epic roster.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will be releasing on 20th November 2020, in which if you pre-order now you will get a “Lucky Ladle” bonus weapon for Link in game. We are extremely excited for this, as it highlights Nintendo’s aim to grow on the story of Breath of the Wild!
