During Sony’s State of Play Event, Kena Bridge of Spirits was once against showcased to the world, but this time we got a much meatier trailer, in which we got a deeper look at the world, the people within in, the monster, the combat and well, pretty much everything. It’s pretty safe to say, Kena is shaping up to be one of the most beautiful and glamorous looking games in a very long time. This literally looks like the developers just left Pixar and went into game development.
The developer Ember Lab started their journey through creating video that became viral in which they created a short fan made scene for The Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask. The video went viral on YouTube and is one that is sitting in my bookmarks as something I show to many other Zelda fans alike. Although it seems that this concept has carried over into Kena, as we see a scene where she puts on a fox mask, in a remarkably similar fashion to how Skullkid does in the Zelda video! A nice little nod to the fans who appreciated their early work!
Kena will be releasing on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on the 24th of August this year! So be sure to get your pre-orders ready! If you didn’t catch the game, check out the trailer above, and check out the beautiful screenshots captured live in the game below!
