The first part to the amazing Legend of Zelda Series is getting a HD make-over for the Nintendo Switch. Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is set as the first game in the entire Zelda timeline, in which we witness the creation of the heroes sword, The Master Sword. If you missed this game on the Nintendo Wii, then you are in for a treat as this is the title which seemingly set Zelda on the path it is on with Breath of the Wild.
Skyward Sword HD can be played with motion controls as it was intended back on its release for the Wii, but has been entirely re-created to be played on a controller without motion controls also! Meaning that Skyward Sword can be experienced however you feel most comfortable. Nintendo have masterfully tailored the right control stick to replicate the motion of the sword, therefore allowing you to control Links sword swings easier in handheld mode (or on a controller).
The story in Skyward Sword is one of the better told stories for this epic long running series, in which we see the bond between Link and Zelda at its strongest. This quest thought, feels like it has higher stakes then most of the other stories. Navigate a world, containing the Demon King Demise, who seeks to take the Triforce and he lay to waste the land in his quest for revenge and power. Evil populates this land, and its your job as Link to push back these forces of evil.
Without spoiling anything this game is a perfect entry point for those new to the series! So be sure to go onto the Nintendo Store and bag yourself a pre-order of this epic title! Skyward Sword HD releases on July 16th for Nintendo Switch.
