During today's Square Enix Presentation at E3, we got to check out more details for Life Is Strange True Colours. During this update, we got a closer look at the gameplay, where our protagonist Alex uses her abilities as an empath to help the townspeople of Haven Springs and their problems. Alex's abilities are initially seen as a curse, but she uses her powers to learn the truth after a friend's death. Alex can interact with the townsfolk, focusing on their auras to build stronger bonds with each person. However, some people's auras are a lot more powerful and to help Alex go deeper by opening a Nova.

The nova changes the environment based on the person's feelings and can have some deadly reactions. Alex can also be faced with some really heavy choices, such as the one in the gameplay we saw today, where Alex can take away a mourning womans anger, which is reaching a point where the woman will be a danger to her others and herself. Alex can take this anger on herself but with that comes the risk of what it can do to her! The story will change with the decisions you make, how far will you go to get the truth?

Life Is Strange: True Colours releases on September 10thfor PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia, Microsoft Windows, Xbox Series X and Series S and PlayStation 5.
