In the gameplay reveal for Little Nightmares 2, which was showcased today, we are shown gameplay as Mono, our new main character who is a young boy trapped in this world distorted by humming transmissions and deadly residence. In the showcase we see some gameplay where Mono is teamed up with the main character of the first game, Six, the girl in a yellow raincoat. Just like the first game the world is dark, dingy, and filled with threats that want to maul you in the worst ways possible.

The enemies showcase in this reveal look to be some of the creepiest and most warped we’ve seen yet. This time, the pursuers of the children seem more paranormal than before, looking more ghostly and otherworldly, than the meaty harsh residence of the first entry. Foes seem way more unpredictable, giving an even higher sense of dread, which only raises our excitement more.

Little Nightmares 2 is a isometric, 2.5D platformer horror game, that uses visual storytelling and cues to lure you constantly into a false sense of security. The game doesn’t feature jump scares, but intends to creep you out with visual that look like they’ve been plucked straight out of Tim Burtons nightmares. The game is coming out next year, and wee cannot wait to see what it bring us.
