Today at Ubisoft Forward, and also leaked due to a miss-hap on the official Nintendo Website… Ubisoft has once again been working with Nintendo to create a brand-new Mario + Rabbids cross-over adventure game. Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, takes returns to tactical based fighting, but changes up the formula. Gone are the square, chess style movement areas and welcome tactical styles seen in games such as Divinity Original Sin and Pillars of Eternity. Though this has been taken from the short trailer and snippets of gameplay that we’ve seen above. What’s clear is that more information on this game will be given during Nintendo Direct later this week.
Coming to the Switch in 2022, Sparks of Hope will give Mario the Rabbids a brand new adventure, with a new cast of wacky characters. This new adventure will take the crew into space, as the Rabbids have merged with Lumas, creating power on a whole new level. They will serve as powerful battle options in the action elements of the new game, in which they will cause high amounts of damage to surrounding enemies. Ubisoft has stated that the core enemy of this title is going to be a completely different type of enemy, which Mario has never faced off against before.
We are extremely excited to see more on this title, but if you haven’t already check out the trailer linked at the top of this article.
