Today on N7 day we finally got the official reveal of the worst kept secret in 2020. Mass Effect Legendary Edition is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Mass Effect Legendary Edition will feature all 3 Mass Effect games, all of the DLC for each title and promotional weapons, armours and packs. Unfortunately, there will be a bit of a wait to get back into the Normandy, as Mass Effect Legendary Edition does not launch until the spring of 2021. The incredibly popular trilogy will be a remaster on current-gen consoles, which will bring a modern Mass Effect experience to audiences new and old. The remaster will include updated graphical features from shaders, models and effects, all of which will be optimised for 4K UHD. It is stated on the Bioware page that it was not their intent to remake or reimagine the adventures of Commander Shepard, so the remaster will remain faithful to the original with story and gameplay (aside from some technical features getting enhanced). Along with the graphical improvements, we will also see improved frame rates. When it comes to seeing Mass Effect Legendary edition on the Next-Gen Bioware has stated that we will see Mass Effect Legendary Edition on Next Gen consoles too. Unfortunately, it does not seem like we will see the Next-Gen Editions with the release of Current-gen and PC release. On Next-Gen we will see targeted enhancements for both Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 and that we will see more details in the New Year.
