Today we have checked out Focus Entertainments latest trailer for their newest Warhammer Licensed game along side developers Rogue Factor, the developers behind Mordheim. Necromund welcomes you to its hive of cities, which is a "near-endless sprawl of humanity and industry" but most importantly, it invites you to it's Underhive, a lawless home of gang warfare and criminal loyalty. The home of the three houses: Escher, Orlock, and Goliath, all fighting for weapons, resources and food.
As the player, you will be playing as a group of members from one of these gangs, of course you'll get to chose which one that will be, but we wont spoil anything here about which ones have what perks. Although, choosing a gang, is like choosing a lifestyle!
Your group in Necromunda: Underhive Wars is fully customisable, so you'll be able to handcraft each of your members to look exactly how you envision them, and that's not all. You will be able to pick their specialities, the weapons they wield, and ultimately decide on what their on field battle-style will be. There are passive, active, gang, veterancy, and many more skills to choose from. You can also pick from dozens of armour designs, piercings, tattoos, and so much more, as you craft the gang that makes you come out on top, in the world of the Underhive.
Necromunda: Underhive Wars evolves the tactical-RPG game formular, so that for the first time ever, nothing is locked to a grid, giving you entirely free movement. They take the aspect of Verticality and make it a huge part of the game. This allowed developers Rogue Factor able to make levels that are huge, spacious, and decorated with tricks and traps, which can be exploited... if you know how. So, be sure to sabotage the arena and place traps for your opponents to stumble into, and remember everything is legal in the Underhive.
Necromunda: Underhive Wars offers a wide variety of game modes to keep you entertained and coming back to the fight. Their is a Story Mode campaign, which ultimately shows you the ropes while gripping you with its compelling story of gang rivalry on Necromunda. Additionally, there are 'Operations' which is an endlessly replayable, gang-building mode where you recruit and battle with the best gang you can, managing persistent injuries and progression between battles. Finally, multiplayer and skirmish modes are for freeplay vs. other players and the AI, using your Operations gang as a way to earn even greater rewards.
