Today marks a special day for Luigi's Mansion 3 and Super Mario Strikers developer Next level games as Nintendo has made their intention known to acquired them. The Vancouver-based developers' acquisition was officially announced today through a statement on the Nintendo website. The acquisition was made when the companies owner-directors chose to sell their shares.
The statement suggests that this is not final yet, as the transaction does not close until March this year. Nintendo's Next Level Games acquisition will most likely mean more spin-offs from the popular Mario Franchise and possibly even the return of the greatest football game ever to exist Mario Strikers.
