Nintendo’s mystery console has finally been revealed, though it has fallen short of many fans expectations based on previous rumours. The Nintendo Switch OLED will be coming to stores this Autumn on October 8th. The new Nintendo Switch OLED will bring with it a plethora of new features that primarily benefit the handheld mode, and unfortunately will not bring any graphical upscaling to 4K and will not improve frame rates to 60FPS, 2 features fans were really hoping for.
The new Nintendo Switch OLED will in fact feature a new 7-inch OLED screen for the handheld mode, with a wider adjustable stand for when you are on the go with your Nintendo Switch. It will also include new speakers for improved sound, a new dock, which will include a wired LAN port, and 64GB of internal memory. Whilst this isn’t the Switch Pro many were expecting it is in many ways a good thing, as many gamers are recalling the launch of the New 3DS, stating that many games would have been made specifically for this new console, leaving many standard switch players in the dust, having to upgrade all over again. The Nintendo Switch OLED will be available for £309.99 with pre orders now available at Game.
