An all-new update is available for No Man’s Sky today and brings an all-new game mode, which will focus on community and cooperativity as we explore the universe like never before in “Expeditions”. This new seasonal game mode will allow players to explore the known galaxy like never before, complimenting each of the difficulty aspects, including Permadeath. Expeditions will start each player out on the same planet for an epic pre-determined journey through the galaxy. Each player will be given their own tools to survive, including a ship. To make this journey even more worthwhile, we will also be seeing brand new ships and weapons.
No Man’s Sky Expeditions will also include progression milestones, which will unlock a series of rewards throughout the seasons, bringing new ways to play No Man’s Sky with friends new and old. A new visor addition will also be made available in Expeditions called Track and Sweep. This new Visor mod will allow players to uncover new mission destinations. Expeditions will also see the return of the procedurally generated Weekend Missions, bringing the community together as they quest for a common goal with quicksilver as a reward. Expeditions will also be completely refreshing the HUD, and the User Interface has also been refreshed for a cleaner look that will bring a fresher look to No Man’s Sky.
Other Quality of Life improvements will also be improved, included with No Man’s Sky Expeditions, which will include Rendezvous Points allowing players to meet up and reunite with other players on the same journey. These exclusive new rewards will be redeemable across all of your saves. Some rewards from the first season will include new customisation options and a new ship design. Along with all of these incredible new features and improvements, we will also be seeing a tonne of bug fixes which you will be able to check out in the full patch notes here.
