

Attention aspiring professional (virtual) fighters! PlayStation and The EVO Championship Series have today announced 3 open format tournaments for you to compete in for your chance to win cash prizes before the main event, EVO 2021 Online on August 6-8th and August 13-15. As a build-up to the main event, this August EVO is hosting a series of community-driven events through the EVO Community Series, which kicks off on June 10th with a prize pool of $75000 to be won across a series of games which you can learn more about on the EVO website here.
Between June 10th and August, 3rd PlayStation will host 3 open format tournaments throughout the event. The first PlayStation tournament will kick off on June 10th and feature a total prize pool of $20,000. Titled as The FGC Arcade: Evo Edition, this tournament will feature Granblue Fantasy: Versus, Guilty Gear Strive, Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate and Tekken 7. The FGC Arcade: Evo Edition will be open to entrants professional and Amateur entrants from North American and European Regions. If you are a true contender or plucky semi-pro, then be sure to stretch before the main event with this Warm Up Tournament with a $19,000 prize pool. This warm-up phase will include Guilty Gear Strive, Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, Tekken 7. Taking place from June 26th– July 13th and will be open to even more entrants, with those in North American, European, Latin America, Middle East and Asia regions all being granted access to this tournament. Finally, we have a series of side tournaments taking place between July 8th and August 3rd. This massive list of games will include BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Granblue Fantasy: Versus, Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. Maxi Boost ON, Skullgirls 2nd Encore, Soulcalibur VI, and Under Night In-Birth Exe: Late[cl-r]. With this massive list of available titles comes an enormous prize pool of $35,000.
