As many readers may be aware, 2021 marks the 25th anniversary of all things Pokémon, with the incredible anniversary date being tomorrow (February 27th). Today as the celebrations begin, we got to see several surprising announcements for incredible upcoming Pokémon games and updates coming to currently released titles.
Our first announcement today comes in the form of a returning fan favourite Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Peal coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year!
Remastered for the Nintendo Switch Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl will take us back to the Sinnoh region for an incredible adventure. We will be able to rediscover the stunning island, scale Mt Coronet and test our strength as a trainer in the Battle Zone as we relive this Nintendo DS classic that will keep fans new and old entertained for hours.
If you have not played Diamond or Pearl when it initially released on the Nintendo DS, we at 3Bit have you covered with all you need to know. Like every other Pokémon game, you will start your adventure in your home town (Twinleaf town), where the local Pokémon professor will give you a starting Pokémon (1 of 3 incredibly rare Pokémon in the world) after he is attacked during an investigation into the mythical Red Gyarados. With your Pokémon, you will venture out across the rest of the Sinnoh Region, capturing more Pokémon and battling other trainers to improve your strength and become the greatest trainer in the land as you climb the rankings by defeating Gym leaders until you come to face your ultimate challenge, the Sinnoh Elite 4.
On your journey, you will also encounter the evil Team Galactic, who are up to nefarious deeds that only you will be able to stop. During this storyline, you will meet many other characters and Pokémon who will help you on your way, including the legendary Pokémon Palika (Pearl) and Dialga (Diamond). Your new adventure awaits in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Peal, which comes to Nintendo Switch this year.
