Today marks the beginning of a new season of Rainbow 6 Siege and with it comes some incredible news from Ubisoft during Ubisoft Forward! The new season update A.K.A Operation Shadow Legacy not only brings back a classic Ubisoft character from one of the best stealth shooters available, but it also comes with some fantastic news for next-gen gamers.

Firstly as of today Sam Fisher from the popular Splinter Cell series joins the roster of Rainbow 6 Operatives. Fisher was showcased in an all-new animated short which you can watch above, where he showcases exactly what he is capable of as he tests some of Rainbow 6’s hardened team members. Fisher is here to “whip the team into shape”, and it is without a doubt only the equally seasoned S.A.S. Operative Thatcher will only match this seasoned veteran, as he takes out each of the defenders in the video single-handedly. As we mentioned before, Sam Fisher will be available to play from right now and will go by the guise of Agent Zero.

Along with the incredible news of Agent Zero, we also learnt that Rainbow 6 Siege will be coming to next-gen as part of its 10-year life span. Those who own Rainbow 6 siege will get a free upgrade onto next-gen consoles so long as they stay with their brand, i.e. PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5. As part of the update to next-gen, we will see Rainbow 6 Siege’s graphics improve to 4K and its Frame Rate up to 120FPS. Are you excited to carry on playing Rainbow 6 Siege into the next-gen?
