Say hello to Resonant Blade, the cyberpunk mixes of retro fun and arcade classics. Taking inspiration from other great indie titles before it, Resonant Blade has players battling it out against Dark Synths in this awesome 2d sci-fi action games. The best way to describe this title is if you mixed the amazing indie game Hyper Light Drifter and any isometric Legend of Zelda game and made a crazy cyberpunk abomination out of them (but this abomination is awesome and cool).
Solo developer Richard Daskas has taken his inspiration from the golden age of 2D pixel style games. Drawing from the classics of popular titles on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) and the biggest hits in the arcades. To quote Richard directly, this is what he has said about Resonant Blades inspirations:
“I wanted to create a game inspired by some of my favourite SNES-era games. Being a musician and gamer my entire life, I wanted to fuse a strong sound design concept into the games that I enjoyed as a kid. Resonant Blade draws inspiration from games like Hyper Light Drifter and classic Zelda games. “
