Rocket League is going free to play from 4 pm BST today. The incredibly popular racing/football hybrid has gained its free to play status on all platforms after joining the Epic Store. To celebrate the move to free to play developers Psyonix will also be throwing an in-game event in collaboration with Epic’s flagship game Fortnite which will start on September 26th. The event will bring a tonne of new challenges for players to unlock Fortnite related prizes. Completing all the challenges will also open you the famed battle bus to smash the opposition with.

For those who have already purchased Rocket League, then you will be able to claim the Legacy Status. Legacy Status will give you ALL of the Rocket League branded DLC that was released before free to play, a new title that displays the first year you played, 200+ common items upgraded to “legacy” new wheels and a new banner. Are you ready to get back into the driving seat and score some goals?
