Rocket League is going free to play! In a recent statement from RocketLeague.com, it was announced that later this year the incredible fast-paced vehicular sports game will be free to players new and old later this summer. The free to play status comes with its removal from the Steam market place and its move onto the Epic Games Store. Those who still own the game on Steam will still be able to play Rocket League and will receive all the latest updates, the move to Epic Games Store will just prevent new players from downloading via Steam. For all of you who have already purchased Rocket League then you will be able to claim the Legacy Status, which will give you ALL of the Rocket League branded DLC that was released before free to play, a new title that displays the first year you played, 200+ common items upgraded to “legacy” new wheels and a new banner. Additionally, you will be able to unlock a new boost if you play online before Rocket League goes free to play. The move to Epic Games Store will also bring “cross-platform progression”, which will mean you can use your rocket league account on any device or platform it is available, retaining your cars, status and Legacy! More announcements are expected to come from Rocket League as we get closer to the launch of free to play, until then make sure that you hit the follow buttons below to see the latest news updates from 3-Bit, along with all of our upcoming reviews, videos and much more!
