RedGamingTech who is an extremely reliable source for accurate leaks, has stated that Metal Gear Solid is getting a ground up remake. The team claim that when they saw a post on Reddit regarding a re-release of Metal Gear Solid, prompting them to go to a source to clarify. The source highlighted that the game is being remade. RedGamingTech then challenged that further, by asking if it was a re-build like Twin Snakes for the Nintendo Gamecube, the source is quoted as responding with “No a full remake, and I actually mean a good remake”. The source has also stated that this will be a console exclusive with PS5, but will also have a PC release too. The source has also confirmed that Metal Gear Solid 2, 3 and 4 are all getting a re-release, but are going to be remastered instead of being ground up remakes. What is also unknown is if these titles are coming to PS5 or not as well, as the communication has mainly targeted PC. We would be surprised if these titles didn’t come to PlayStation as all of them have existed on the previous consoles prior, and Sony has been reported as approaching developers for exclusive deals. Though Konami have got A LOT of rumours against them currently, and they have been quiet over the console announcement period. The biggest current rumour for Konami, is one that stipulates that a Silent Hill game is also being created as PlayStation exclusive. If both of these rumours are true, this could mean big things for Konami, with them stepping back into the console/PC gaming world.
