Today we see the release of Bandai Namco's latest IP, Scarlet Nexus on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC. Scarlet Nexus will take us to a distant future, where a psionic hormone has been discovered in the brain, giving those who carry this hormone extrasensory abilities, changing the world in many ways.

This new form of psionic humanity is now threatened by twisted mutants that have come from the skies known only as "Others". The Others crave Human Brains and the psionic Hormone they carry. The only way to stop them is through extreme measures, as these mutants are resistant to conventional attacks, so this is where you come in. As a Psionic, your extrasensory abilities are much stronger than normal, so you have been selected by humankind's last line of defence, the Other Suppression Force (OSF). As a member of the OSF, you and your fellow OSF members will battle the Others with incredible skills, their environment and each other in a dual story set in a Japanese city that draws inspiration from both manga and western sci-fi.

Scarlet Nexus's Dual Story gives us a choice to play as either the new recruit Yuito Sumeragi of a prestigious political family and Kasane Randall, an infamous scout who has earned their reputation in the OSF through power and skill alone. These 2 stories will interweave throughout Scarlet Nexus, and through these 2 characters, we will discover all the mysteries in this strange world of technology and psychic abilities.

Will you be playing Scarlet Nexus this weekend? Let us know on our Facebook and Twitter pages below and let us know in this article's comments. Scarlet Nexus is available to download now on the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, and Steam with prices from £39.99.
