We got to see an epic new gameplay trailer for the latest tile from Publisher Annapurna Interactive and Developers Heart Machine, Solar Ash, during tonight's PlayStation State of Play. Solar Ash Heart machine's second commercial game, with the small development team previously releasing Hyper Light Drifter.

Unlike Hyper Light Drifter, Solar Ash will focus on the fluidity of movement as it attempts to improve on other fluid movement adventure games such as Haven and Journey. Unlike the two latter titles, it seems that Solar Ash will bring a stronger focus to combat mechanics within these games whilst maintaining the one thing I love most about these specific action titles. This stunning and smooth art style brings a more immersive experience and breathtaking environments to your effortless gliding.

Another great aspect of Solar Ash is the scaling of the opponents, and whilst some of them may be of a similar size to you, others look to be more of a goliath in size, which will allow us to glide almost effortlessly around, striking weak points and (hopefully) avoiding any danger they may pose to us. Personally, I cannot wait to try out this incredible title when it releases later this year on PC and PlayStation 5. Will you be picking up Solar Ash?
