Base.com, popular seller of videos games and consoles has recently removed a retail listing which claimed that Spiderman would be available exclusively on PS4. The move seems pretty obvious due to Sony holding the rights over Spiderman, and recently basking in the success of the their game made by Insomniac, with approximately 13 millions units sold.
If this listing is true and has been given to Base.com by SquareEnix, creators of the Marvels Avengers games, this could mean big things for the game version of the Marvel World. This could confirm that Insomniacs Spiderman and Marvels Avengers universes are joined, and more excitingly means that Disney are trying to get developers to create Marvels games that cross over. Suspicions for this approach first occurred when fans had noticed that the Marvel Avengers setting, matched up to a reference/easter-egg that Spiderman would state as he swung past Avengers Tower. Spiderman quips: “probably on the west coast right now, probably surfing or something”, and when Marvel Avengers was announced the heroes are at the west coast, as made obvious by Iron Mans greeting whilst celebrating A-Day, "Hello, San Francisco!".
