I have been lucky enough to play an exciting new title called Dungeon Core this week. It is a top-down rogue-like shooter from Talismanic Entertainment, and it truly is great fun. It's the first game from Talismanic and they are off to a flying start. In the beginning, you take the role of the only surviving "Liquidator" and your job is to get to the Nuclear Core beneath the sewers and destroy it in its entirety. Standing in front of you are all the mutated creatures created by the aforementioned Nuclear Core.

The gameplay is very simple and it can be played using a mouse and keyboard or a controller. it is essentially a point and click, top-down shooter but it is among the best of its kind. The permanent upgrade system is your best ally so ensure that you pay attention to it! I have enjoyed the couple of hours I've put into the game so far, and it leaves me wondering what I should upgrade next, the drop rate or the number of materials I will keep when I inevitably die again? These are the questions you will find yourself asking, one leads to more upgrades, the other to less of a loss.

Dungeon Core is out now as an Early Access game and I would definitely recommend it if you are a fan of games such as The Binding of Isaac. The game can be found on Steam and I would certainly say it's worth the asking price. Check it our by clicking here.
