During the Game Awards developers Striking Distance Studios announced the new project that they have been working on behind closed doors, The Callisto Protocol. This was showcased in the form of a CGI trailer, which featured someone who is locked in a dark and dingy jail cell. As this character awakens, he notices that things are not quite right before being jumped by a creepy dark monster, that seems to have taken over control of what used to be this character’s cell mate.

Upon first glance it’s easy to see that The Callisto Protocol borrows concepts from Dead Space and that’s fine, because the team who are sitting behind this epic title are the people who created Dead Space whilst under the name of Visceral Games. It’s exactly this point that gets me incredibly excited to see more on this title. The first Dead Space title was easily the best of the series, and Callisto Protocol, looks to draw similarities to that entry!

We cannot wait to see gameplay of this title, but in the meantime be sure to check out the trailer above and let us know what you think of the games first showcase in the comments section on our social media pages.
