It's not a secret that the version of The Outer Wilds on the Nintendo Switch was considered a bit 'messy'. Now in my opinion it is totally playable, but the differences of this version of the game and the PS4/Xbox One version of the game is huge. Well officially, Obsidian have released a Tweet stating that a Patch to enhance the visuals and performance issues will be released on October 21st. We have quoted the Tweet below:
"The Board is excited to announce that employees on the Nintendo Switch platform can expect to see a patch reach their device on Oct 21st! We are also recruiting new employees to join us on the Halcyon Colony, so get ready to take advantage of a sale on the Switch on Oct 22nd!"
This comes as a welcomed change for the big space based RPG but also comes with good news in terms of a sale. This means more people will be able to pick the game up, in its 'fixed state' and play it whilst on the move. The price it is coming down to is not known, although based on previous Switch sales, I would hazard a guess at it being around the £25 mark. Below we have put a screenshot that was shared of the visual improvements, let us know what you think on our social media channels linked below.
