Valve has revealed its rumoured Steam Deck, a handheld console that will bring PC gaming to the couch! The Steam Deck will come in 3 options and will give us full access to our steam library, with the ability to play your favourite games exactly where you left off. Powered by custom made AMD APU’s (Accelerated Processing Unit), this handheld console will bring your steam library to the couch not just on its 7” LCD touch screen but also on the big screen, thanks to a dock that will be sold separately. The Separate dock will allow you to also connect your peripherals of choice via its 3 USB Ports (1 x USB-A 3.1 Port 2 x USB-A 2.0 Ports). Also fixed to the dock is HDMI connection, an ethernet port and DisplayPort 1.4.
The Steam Deck will start from £349 for the basic model with 64GB of storage. Prices then jump up to £459.99, which will give you 256 GB of faster NVMe storage. This price will also include a carry case and community profile bundle. Finally, the prices jump again to £569 for the fastest NVMe storage at 512GB. This bundle will also include antiglare etched glass, a carry case, the Steam Community Profile Bundle and an exclusive virtual keyboard theme. All three models include a high-speed microSD card slot, too, so you will have all the space you could ever need. Below you can check out some of the key features and Specifications to the Steam Deck and what you can expect from Valve taken directly from the Steamdeck Website.
