Do you ever sit there and wish you had a sword that could pierce the very nature of time? Wish no more because Cris Tales is coming next month to give you exactly that. This JRPG follows Crisbell a Time Mage who’s adventures across several kingdoms to defeat the evil Time Empress and reshape the future. Taking prompts from classic JRPGS such as Final Fantasy 6, Chrono Trigger and more modern ones such as Bravely Default and Persona 5 this 2d game will be coming out for PC, Xbox One, Series X, PS4, PS5, Switch and Stadia on 20th July.

Every piece of this game is all hand drawn and with more than 20 hours of playtime available I am certain this will scratch that JRPG itch. From the multi-faceted plot, interesting characters, beautiful world and even a top hat wearing frog it has a lot to offer. As you adventure through this gorgeous looking world you recruit some interesting unique allies including the frog Matias and a child mage called Willhelm, who all have their own story and different abilities and skills to help boost your adventure.

Utilizing the turn based combat you can use your abilities to change and warp your enemies into different past or future versions and even synchronise your attacks with your allies. The warping doesn’t end there as you can use this awesome power to peer into the past, learn and even help make decisions on altering the future. In case you were concerned about all that walking, don’t worry Cris Tales has other ways to traverse the world including boat or even an airship.
