In a storybook we thought to be closed, The Witcher is returning to our consoles and PCs with a new announcement from CD Projekt Red saying that a new Saga will be coming. This has come as a huge surprise to many fans worldwide, and here at 3Bit, we cannot contain our hype! But what are we in for? Right now, nobody knows. There is a lot of speculation going around at the moment, suggesting with most guesses pointing toward the story of Ciri. However, there are other speculators too, with some thinking it could follow the story of Vesimir and the old Witchers before the attack on Kaer Morhen.
What we do know, however, is that this new Witcher title will be created using Unreal Engine 5, in place of the REDengine, which was used to build the previous Witcher titles and the rather infamous Cyberpunk 2077. Epic Games, the licensers of Unreal 5 will be collaborating with CD Projekt Red to tailor their newest engine for open-world Experiences too. We hope this will bring a truly new feel to our games and give us an all-new immersive experience.
Unfortunately, until CD Projekt Red share more information with us, all we have is the new engine and the fact that it is in development. There is no release date or development time frame yet, however, we will be reporting it to you as soon as CD Projekt Red release the information, so be sure to stay with us here at 3Bit by hitting that follow button below for all the latest from The Witcher and much more from across the gaming community.
