After weeks of incredible events and announcements, you would have thought that for the rest of June, the gaming world would be quieter with gaming news, but that is not the case, as developers, publishers and gamers still have a lot to share with more exciting announcements, releases and even rumours! You can check out all the details from the last 7 days that you may have missed in our weekly catch up, This Week In Gaming, below.

  • Cyberpunk 2077 returns to the PlayStation Store, but Sony has advised that it only be played on PS4 Pro or PS5.

  • The ID@Xbox and Summer Games Fest Demo Event comes to a close. We got to check out this awesome event with hours of demos and have 3 incredible recommendations that you should be hyped about.

  • Sea of Thieves: A Pirates Life update launches for free on Xbox and PC, bringing a new story and content that features a cross over with Pirates Of The Caribbean.

  • The untitled Sonic game coming in 2022 could set the premise for the next generation of Sonic Games, much like Sonic Adventures did.

  • Xbox announces a partnership with Phillips ASUS and Acer for 3 new monitors that are “Designed for Xbox”.

  • Sonic turns 30 this week. Sega celebrated with a series of cross over events with games such as Minecraft, 2 Point Hospital and the newly released Tokyo 2020 Olympics game, along with a live-streamed concert by the Sonic Symphony Orchestra.

  • Kerbal Space Program turns 10, and a next-gen upgrade is announced for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, and a final PC update is released!

  • A Prologue to Rise of Humanity, an upcoming Strategy and deck builder game by Cybernetic Walrus, releases on Steam before the game makes its way into Early Access.

  • Insomniac is working on a new project that will feature multiplayer, but what could it be? We explore one such possibility.

  • Here at 3Bit, we have started a new project called 3Bit Shorts, where we give you a short but insightful view into the hottest upcoming Indie Games.

  • The highly anticipated Horror game Abandoned, which is rumoured to have Hideo Kojima Behind it as a new Silent Hill, has delayed the reveal of its app that was to unveil what Abandoned is.

  • The First Season of Halo Infinite’s Multiplayer will be called Heroes of Reach, bringing this iconic piece of Halo history to the future of Halo.

  • This week we saw the release of many incredible titles, including Alex Kid In Miracle World, Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance, Mario Golf Super Rush and Scarlet Nexus.
