Ubisoft has announced their next competitive shooter, Tom Clancy’s XDefiant. XDefiant is Ubisoft San Fransico’s take on a modern competitive FPS. It will take us to NeoPunk styled arenas to battle it out with our squad in tactical combat with its unique character. We will be able to go in alone or squad up with 5 friends in 6 vs 6 battles across a variety of game modes. Use your defiant to dominate in various game modes that combines intense gunplay with customisable weapons and abilities, and best of all, it will be free to play!

Our Defiants will be split into 4 factions based on groups from within the Tom Clancey Universe and include the Wolves, Outcasts, Cleaners, and Echelon. Each faction has its own abilities and traits to make them unique and can be adapted along with your weapons to match your unique play style. With all factions, we will be able to pick from a variety of weapons to add to their loadout, each customisable with a range of attachments to suit your play style, be that spray and pray or the more tactical one shot at a time approach.

PC Players in the US and Canada will be able to Beta test XDefiant first on August 5th by registering on the XDefiant page here, but UK and European gamers eager to try this out should also consider registering too as more tests will be coming soon! No release date has been given for XDefiant yet but it looks to be releasing on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC
