Developers Reflector have come together to create a brand-new IP, built into an equally as new, established new world for gamers, comic book readers, podcasters and everything in between. Their new video game title Unknown 9: Awakening gives us a look at our protagonist Haroona, who seems to be able to use “Fold” abilities to travel between an “Alternative?” world. This is witnessed by a moment where she enters this world in the trailer, just before being attacked with a stick. Although we’ve only seen a young version of Haroona, and teased the adult version of her, we know from this small clip, that she is going to kick arse!
Reflector is built up of industry veterans, who have shown a keen interest in making a game that does things differently, as CEO, Alexandre Amancia has explained. The development team is a brand-new team based in Montreal. The team promises to bring top talent AAA games to a global audience, all based within a deep and rich world, filled with unique lore and story telling.
The world of Unknown 9, can already be entered as the developers seem to have done a massive amount of work building up a lore. The team have released a comic book series called “Unknown 9: Torment”, an novel called “Unknown 9: Genesis” and a scripted podcast called “Unknown 9: Out of Sight”. Finally If you jump onto the developers website, you plan play a web-based game called “Chapters” which is a free player driven narrative, where you make choices to experience a particular outcome.
