Thanks to a source on our discord server, we have learnt that Valve is trying out a new feature, which will make gaining access to Beta tests a piece of pie. The process Valve is testing is a “Playtest” option, in which all the gamer needs to do is press the button in the Steam Marketplace, to join a Beta, so long as the Beta is open. If not you will have the option to request access at a later date through a “request access” button. This new option will be a lot easier for gamers and developers alike, as there will no longer be a need for keys or email sign-ups. The new Playtest option has only been found on Total War Elysium currently, an upcoming deck builder based on the Total War franchise which you can check out below, with a screenshot of the new Playtest page along with the trailer for Total War Elysium. What are your thoughts on the new Playtest option, could it change up the Beta process? Let us know in our comments on our Facebook and Twitter, which you can find below!
