After being in early access for the PC since October 2018, the anticipated horror game Visage will entering full release version nearly 2 years after, coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Visage is a horror game that takes it inspirations from some of the best horror experiences out there, most notably taking key inspiration, from the highly successful horror experience P.T. In this game you are tasked with wondering through different claustrophobic halls and rooms, expected to investigate every corner of the house that you are trapped within, in search of an escape route. Now whilst navigating the house should be easy, the special thing that Visage does, is make you manage your fear. Fear is what attracts dark entities, and that's bad, REALLY BAD. So remaining calm is the key to survival, and if you can't do that, then those creaking floor boards, those distant whispers and moans, wont be so distant anymore.
Developers Sad Square Studio have made a massive emphasis on sound design and atmosphere. As you walk around your haunted settings, floor boards will creak, the walls will whisper and everything that surrounds you will feel alive. The worst yet, is that the house you navigate has a terrible past. A past of brutality, violence recorded in the history of its walls, and it's this evil past that will haunt you. Whispers, moans and breathing will seemingly lead you, but be careful, they might even destroy you. When surrounded by a truth so disturbing, you will pine to join the families that died in the house years ago, but even DEATH wont help you escape this horrible place.
We at 3-Bit are incredibly excited for Visage, especially being huge fans of the canned Silent Hills playable teaser by Hideo Kojima. We can't wait to see what this game has to bring to the table and how well it fits into a gaming library filled to the brim with great horror experiences. If you're interested in the game you can get it in it's early access state on Steam right now, so be sure to do that and let us know what you think!
